I want to start a band, but I don't know where to get the members... any suggestions? - Sanne - 04-30-2013 02:37 PM

I've been in a band for about 8 years, but this year we're probably going to stop... I want to start a new band, with people who like the same music as I do, but I don't know where to find them. I don't really know people who play drum or bass or guitar, which is kind of my problem, haha.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks! Smile

Appeal for some via Facebook?

the internet is a wonderful tool for these kinds of things. My suggestion is to go to craigslist.org and place "Want" ads under the platonic section for your area. Use facebook, twitter, myspace, and whatever other social network you might be a part of. Also, keep talking to people about it. You never know whose neighbor's cousin's travel agent's kid is looking to start a band.

Bandmix is a website that's meant for finding musicians close by. I will be honest with you, if you want to contact other musicians through that website, you will have to pay up to access those features
