How to change facebook profile pic without showing up in newsfeed? - zealouslamp316 - 04-30-2013 09:31 PM

Also, if I join a group, and i post on the groups wall, will that show up in everyones newsfeed?
And i always see people start using new apps and stuff on my newsfeed, if i , like, want to start using the "appear offline on chat" app, will everyone see that? is there a privacy setting to fix this?

u could change your pic and remove the feed from your pro.

first: no one can see when you go offline in chat, you just click "options" in the chat menu and click "go offline"
second:there is no way to make it not show up in news feed, however you can delete it immediately after the change appears by going to the profile tab and clicking "remove" next to the post you don't want (this only shows up if you scroll over the post). it's also the same with groups, just delete the post.
third: if there's only a select group of people in your friends list that you don't want to see your posts, then click the little lock whenever you post a status to make a post more private
i hope this helps! Big Grin

you cant stop it from going into your news feed if you dont want people to find out about the picture that you changed than dont post it
