Why do people put quotes on their Facebook pictures? - Jazzy - 04-30-2013 09:33 PM

Ugh. I can hardly go on Facebook anymore! It used to be interesting to see what my friends were doing and how my family was down south. But now it's nothing but half naked girls, guys commenting "damn gurl" "cute" or "wow your beautiful" when the picture is an unflattering self picture taken with a orange filter on Instagram.

And why do people put unnecessary quotes on pictures? It will be some picture they took in a dirty mirror and under it it will say "reach for the stars <333333333333333" or something even more stupid like "starships were meant to flyyy"

Seriously what is wrong with people now days? How do they think these things are cute and how do others think their cute for doing it?

And tell me, is this just people from where I live or does everyone with an expensive camera think they're a photographer? And every girl they take a picture of is wearing some white dress with cowboy boots in some kind of field with the sun so bright they're face is washed out but yet everyone says "beautiful"

Me being a photographer myself gets really ticked off by this. I'm an 18 year old girl like the rest of them but I find it to be really bad photos.

What has the world come to?!?

I dunno. I understand what your saying though. But personally I normally don't use a pic of me for my facebook profile. Mine is more like something i drew or found online that has some kind of saying. So it's not like people are in mine, it's all words or a drawing.

You're so right! I respect people's space and I know that they should be allowed to do what they want on their Facebook pages but seriously. The unnecessary quotes they add -- they're irrelevant, too -- are annoying. One of the most annoying quotes is "Eeeeeee xD" I have no idea what the heck that means but I see that in Facebook pictures everyday. -_-
