My stage manager created a group on facebook for our cast, but it was created within our university's group on facebook. To join the group, students must verify their university email but I don't know if some will. Is there a way to remove the group from the university group without deleting the cast group?

Hopefully this facebook link will have the information you need. It should be able to cover groups too, maybe the same as an individual memebr. As long as the administrator does the removal, you should be fine.
