What does the embedded Facebook Like button actually analyze? - TOXICBARRELZ - 05-01-2013 07:35 PM

Hi guys
I linked my website on Facebook today (it's a photography website) and there is a little embedded "like" button at the bottom--not to a facebook page, but just to like the page. I'm really confused because before I posted it, there were 0 "likes", and now there are 44. However, there is nothing on my dashboard from my friends that show they had liked it, so I'm confused--what does this button measure?? The annoying part is that you can't click to see who has liked it or anything so it's just confusing!
Does anyone really know?

Every time someone clicks a 'like' button, the Facebook algorithms analyze what was 'liked' then they can use target advertising on the user.
