Should I install ASIO? - username #1 - 05-02-2013 11:09 AM

I run Ableton Suite on my macbook. (10.6.8)

the manual for an old 25 key M-Audio Oxygen 8 of mine recommends installing ASIO.

it sounds like something I'd want, but what do you guys think? and if you think I should get my Audio stream input/output driver.... where can I even get it from?

Not if you're running it on a Mac; CoreAudio (built into OSX) does basically the same things as ASIO.

If you ever do need generic ASIO drivers for a Windows machine, check out ASIO4ALL.
