I have a friend that I talk with on Facebook pretty often. Usually she contacts me first, but sometimes I message her first. We would start out talking a lot, but as time goes on, she takes longer to reply, and her replies have less and less word. I don't want to keep messaging her constantly either when she doesn't reply, because I don't want to annoy her. This happens all the time too. Sometimes she may be busy, but like right now for example, I know she's not busy with anything besides just being online
A lot of times she would get off too without saying anything. Usually when I leave, I tell the person "later" or something
I actually don't usually message her first anymore. This has been going on for months though! There are a few times we we have ACTUAL conversations, but I would say 70% of them sort of go like what I described

Good question maybe shes speechless so she'll take longer to reply back or shes bored

Dont message her first anymore... and then reply with short answers like she does.
Then just log off and dont say bye.
Do exactly what she does to you, see how she likes it!

Everyone is different. Maybe she doesn't like to say goodbye. And she could also possibly lose internet connection. As far as her not responding quickly, she may not be busy, but something could have caught her attention. She could just be looking at random things online, or talking to other people. You could always try asking her about it. She may not even realize she's doing it.
