Does twitter via Text use the web - Sprint? - John R - 05-03-2013 11:07 AM

I have sprint, and I want to update my twitter using text messages..
I have unlimited text, but no web plan.
Will sending twitter a text charge for web?

No, it does not. By updating your Twitter via text, you bypass any web/data usage. Any updates you receive from Twitter via text will also be counted as a text message.

All you have to do is set up your Twitter account from a computer to be associated with your cell phone number. Then you text your update to 40404. If you wish to respond to someone else's update, simply text to the same number, but at the beginning of the text add the @ symbol followed by your friend's username then your message (ex: @yourfriend That was so funny!)
