Finally looking to upgrade to a smartphone.
What I want in a phone: Able to go on social media, surf the net, texting, and maybe some apps here and there.
What should I get? Any recommendations from personal experiences/testimonies? Thanks for the input!

as per ur requirement u better opt an android phone. It is the best running smartphone OS till date , even better than iOS and windows phone 7.5...but i would like to suggest u an android device costing above rs.15000 because that will be having better hardware and software features...opt any android device from samsung or htc!

Android. More apps and more user friendly than Blackberries.

From what you want, I suggest an Android phone.. Android phones could do all those things and come in a variety of prices that you could afford.. I would also recommend the iPhone which has great an app selection. The BB is mainly for businesses and it has great email support but not a wide variety of apps for it.

blackberry is the answer
why?
because comunication is what you want
blackberry is that... easy comunication, with bbm thats the best messenger available for smartphones
can send pics, music, voicenotes, etc
about surfing blackberry offers 4G or HSPA on devices like 9900 9860 9380
about texting blackberry 9900 has the best keyboard of all times on blackberry, just the best blackberry phone.
about social media you have facebook, twitter etc

Both Blackberry and Android are user-friendly. If you are very much into applications then probably you should go for Android because applications in Android are very interesting. Applications in Blackberry are not so much great. Other than that both fulfill your requirements.

Blackberry is a nice choice. But when it comes to fun and user friendly-ness, android takes it all. So I would recommend you to get a smartphone with android. Actually blackberry is for more professional use. Compare features to find the best fit.
