No money?

Stick to the facts, do not promise what you cannot deliver, offer outstanding support and a money back guarantee to remove the risk.

I would ask myself the following questions: Is the product or service of real value to a person in their position at a price that's affordable to them? Can they afford the maintenance and/or any other expenses associated with it?

If it involves a payment plan do they fully understand the financing? Take into consideration that they may not understand commonly used terms like negative amortization or balloon mortgage. As many subprime lenders are finding out, getting folks into a financial situation which they can't get out of serves neither party.

Do not say false things about what can you do if you really will not do what you say.

Do not solicit everywhere like a realtor.

If you don't know, say so.

Deliver only what you advertised and promised.

Disclose disclose disclose.

There are ZERO ethical issues, as long as you are not being deceptive. To remove their personal choice, through deception or force, would be unethical.

Now, if you're wanting to have a positive affect, then of course you should be marketing items that will help them improve, or save, or somehow benefit them.
