Link old youtube account to a mail account without giving phone? - Alicia - 05-04-2013 04:56 AM I have an old youtube account, created in 2006. After many years, I want to log in and remove a video. However, google doesn't make it easy... They want me to link the youtube account to another email account. If I do it with a gmail, it says "Error 500. Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation". What lack of professionalism. If I do it with a hotmail account, it later says to give them a phone so they'll send me a code. No way I'm giving them my phone number. How can I link the youtube old account to an email without giving a phone in order to access my damned youtube account?. EDIT: Sam, I don't have Facebook or Twitter, and I don't want to link my youtube account to a google account since they ask for my phone number, and I don't want that. There must be another way around... - Sam - 05-04-2013 04:59 AM >> The message ""Error 500. Sorry, something went wrong. A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation"" shows when your account is connected to Twitter or Facebook. To solve this issue >> 1. Go to https://profiles.google.com/connectedaccounts 2. Disconnect your account from Twitter/Facebook 3. Restart your browser 4. Link your youtube account to a new g-mail/ hotmail as you tried before. Edit : > Go to : Youtube Settings > Click "Disconnect Channel from Google+" > Click "I understand that my channel will be renamed." > Click "Rename Channel." |
