Why does it seem like temptations you are trying to escape are always right in your face? - Hollywood Jono - 05-05-2013 07:41 AM

Case and point you try and avoid drinking and go to a party where alcohol is in abundance. You try and avoid pornography and it’s right in your face with people posting half or completely nude photos on social media sites. As soon as you log on boom there it is right in your face.

I would try to refrain from using the Internet or doing something or going somewhere where you think you'd be in danger of falling. It's okay to use the Internet for important things, but if its Facebook I would either delete my account and wait a while until you feel you can be on it again or I would stay away from it all. Surround yourself with good positive people. True, real, raw friends are going to support you, look out for you, and influence you in a positive way and most importantly they are there to pick you up when you fall. Pornagraphy, and pictures of half naked people are EVERYWHERE it's plastered across the Internet. Social media thrives on sex an showing skin that's the age we are living in and some people have no respect for themselves. All in a nutshell try your best to stay away a from those negative vices and be constructive and productive rather than destructive. Tap into your inner self, into your faith, beliefs, morals, etc. because in the long run it will pay off in the end. Best of luck.

We can't run and bury our heads in the sand like an ostrich would do. We also cannot run from ourselves and our temptations. We are in the world as it is with the only escape being death. Our only shield is self-discipline and what morals we may have that will be tested daily in a mortal world.
