go into settings and then notifications and make sure twitter is in the notification center

Twitter can let you know when you get a tweet if you sign up for twitter text. Just go to settings and click on mobile notifications. Type in your phone number and follow the instructions. & when you do that click on whatever box you want sent to your phone. It will be sent to your phone as a text message. Hope I helped!
