I am new and whenever I go on edit my preferences, I click update photo, and then it takes me to my yahoo profile(not answers profile) and it gives me selected pictures of nature, ON MY YAHOO PROFILE. How do I change my Y!As profile? Please help I really want to change it
I want to change it into an orange exclamation mark instead of green!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Yahoo assigns the colour of those exclamation marks randomly,there's no way to opt for the orange mark. What you can do though is right-click any orange mark, download it to your computer first, and then upload it again by treating it like any other personalized avatar. Now about all the possibilities you have for getting avatars...
You can use a photo or a Yahoo! cartoon avatar, and if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can also use those avatars.
Go to: http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/ - make sure your profile isn't hidden, because if it is, your avatar won't show.
If you want a cartoon avatar, go here to create one: http://avatars.yahoo.com/ - then click on "Yahoo!" under "Export your Avatar".
In case you want to use a Facebook or Twitter avatar, you need to link those accounts in the Profile options.

You have several options in case you want a photo avatar:
a) go to your Yahoo! Answers settings at http://answers.yahoo.com/my-activity/edit/about , click "Update photo or avatar",
b) go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com/ , click on the current avatar.
Now upload a picture or choose one of the pics you've uploaded previously.
