I have a new softcover book coming out (currently in pdf and Kindle format) and I am looking to get the biggest bang for my buck in promoting it. I am doing a press release with distribution to Associated Press and what not, but other than buying pay per click ads is there anything I am missing?
The site already gets a lot of traffic, but I want to make a big splash with the book release.
Any help would be greatly appreciated ...

First start using your Social Network applications such as: Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Google Buzz, Google Reader, email then start with your local news paper, you can buy a space on the paper to advertise your book, affiliate with amazon and promote your book there and sale it as well.
