Why are singers more famous than actors? - ashley - 05-07-2013 11:14 PM

I noticed singers are more popular. Even on twitter. I mean, yeah. You need talent for them both, but... Acting can be hard. I'm in a acting class and its not easy. So I'm curious... Like on twitter, compare Emma Stone or Kristan Anderson to Riahana or taylor swift. The singers are always way more popular. The singer has like 34 million, and the actor had 10K or 20K. And like 3 favorited tweets compared to a 822,000 retweets. Why is this!?

Music is more personal and there are more songs per singer than there are movies per actor.

Musicians have way more fan contact, what with touring and all. Actors have late night talk and their couple films/year to build their fan base.

I myself fan musicians more because it's fun to sing along (I mean try to act along while watching a movieBig Grin) and singers usually open up their soul much more while actors portrait certain characters.
