I was browsing through facebook and saw that someone from high school friend requested me, but I don't go to that high school anymore. I was wondering how to tell WHEN they requested me because I don't want to accept and look like an idiot because he friend requested me months ago.

There is no way to see when it was. I have friends requests from last year that I still haven't approved/denied and there's no date or anything there.
You don't have to give a reason to them as to why you were so quick or slow to approve/deny a friend request. Either you approve it or you don't.

The only way it is possible is tht u recieve emails for notification then u can check the email's date.
