Many sites I've joined offer a pittance to read emails, click on ads, take surveys, etc. It seems the only way to earn any decent amount of money is to attract referrals. However, I don't know many people personally who are interested in that kind of thing and I don't want to hassle people around me just to make a few more dollars. Is there any other way to attract referrals for internet sites?

If you join a particular program to make money online, you really should join through someone who knows what online marketing is all about and can help you setting up your campaign in order to recruit people and promote your business.
