Kindle fire HD or nexus 7 (16GB)? - Tyler... - 05-09-2013 11:00 AM I'm thinking about saving up for either the fire HD 7" or the nexus 7, both are 199 , which one is better for me? I like games, mostly social networking (instagram, Facebook) and also web browsing, I have a ipod for music. Also, does the amazon App Store (for kindle fire HD) does it have instagram? Thanks Also, is the 16GB nexus 7 $199? Thanks - Andrew - 05-09-2013 11:04 AM I would recommend the Nexus 7 tablet. Because the Kindle Fire HD was made for reading books mostly. It is not a fully fledged android tablet. And you are limited to apps you can get because of the Amazon App Store. The Google Nexus 7 is an all around great tablet. It is great for games, and runs them fast (It has a quad-core processor). Also it has the Google Play Store which has thousands of apps. Including Facebook, Instagram, and you can download many web browsers also. It has a wide variety of games. Hope this helped - Mason - 05-09-2013 11:17 AM For what you want.. both devices are pretty much the same... Kindle Fire HD does have advantages like: - Digital dolby audio - Dual wifi antenna for better speed - HDMI out - Xray for movies - Amazon content and services Advantages for Nexus 7 - Quadcore processor - 4.1 Jelly bean OS - GPS (For Kindle Fire HD its only available in 4G LTE version) - NFC support |
