I need Fundraising ideas? - Janey - 05-10-2013 05:42 AM

I want to make money so that I can go on this school trip. I want to know what are some good ideas for fundraising in school. What should I sell and for how much? I sell chocolates in school for a dollar. But I want to have a variety of an inventory.

ummm well since christmas break is here i guess its too late for candycane grams. is it a while away bc then you could do something for valentines day like notes or something. sell something for new years. do a kissing booth for new years so no one will be alone (that one may be a bit gross but i guarentee youd make something!)

If it's personal fundraising rather than for the school you will need to be careful of what you sell and who you sell it to. There are laws you may be breaking without even knowing it. If it is personal, see if you can do a few chores for elderly people in your neighborhood, around here it's getting almost time for shoveling, baby sit for busy neighbors, offer to walk a dog, etc.. Make sure you let them know why you are doing it and they may be more generous knowing it's helping you go on a school trip. Good luck.

Consider an online crowdfunding project on a site like ClickStartMe. There are several sites where, for a percentage of what you raise, you can use the power of crowdfunding to your advantage. You put your cause online, tell people on the site what you are trying to raise money for, then promote the fundraiser by sharing a link to the online crowdfunding fundraiser to all of your social media contacts. People go to the site, give $5 or $10 (or more!) through their credit cards in a secured transaction, and you get the money you need!

Crowdfunding is generally described as getting a lot of small donations from a large number of people. Using the power of social networks, it is easy to get a great fundraiser going through a crowdfunding site and raise money quickly without having to do car washes and bake sales and the other time consuming old fashioned ways of raising money.
