Does yahoo make partnerships with advertising companies outside of the US, regarding local ads on yahoo? - waseok - 05-10-2013 02:30 PM

Some social networks, or email companies have business partners in different countries through whom companies can buy advertising for local social network/ email visitors. For example, one of the most popular Russian social network odnoklassniki.ru have partners in Ukraine, for Ukraine companies that want to advertise themselves on the odnoklassniki.ru site exclusively for Ukraine visitors. As in, if you are in Ukraine and u access odnoklassniki.ru you will see Ukrainian ads only etc.

Not really "partnerships". It is more of a traditional "advertising contract" between Yahoo and the advertiser.

You occasionally see Knowledge Partners on Y!A. They are advertisers who are participating and acting a bit like partners.

The new alliances with Facebook and Twitter are not really partnerships since they have separate revenue and management.
