So it looks like the latest coolest thing is even cheap tablet computers are really becoming useful with the Google Nexus and Kindle Fire HD and others.
Of course before that, social media like Facebook and Twitter.
What's the next big thing that 3 or 4 years from now, many millions of folks will be using/doing?

Your refrigerator will cooperate with the smart grid and the internet to tell you you need to buy more eggs, and when you get to the store your whole list will be waiting, paid for automatically from your bank account. All you have to do is carry them inside and the RFID chips will tell the refrigerator what new stuff is in there.
Oh, and the government will be able to tell if you are growing pot in your basement
