Should I allow 1 company to monetarily sponsor my website and be the only product we can advertise? - Gerard B - 05-12-2013 07:18 AM

Is this a good idea? Companies want to pay me monthly to sponsor any business expenses, but their product is the only product that can be advertised on my social networking website

That kind of exclusivity is expensive, because it deprives you of ALL other advertising income, so they have to pay you a lot, and I mean A LOT, for that.

In other words, they have to pay you for their own advertising AND for all the other ads you would have run if they weren't your only advertiser, too! So, figure out how much you would have made if you had a full complement of advertisers, and then that's how much you charge them, maybe less 10%, for the exclusivity they seek.

Good luck!... ☺
