what can be done if a national newspaper uses content from a facebook site without permission? - diggerx0x - 05-12-2013 12:20 PM A frame from a video on Facebook was used by a national tabloid without even asking, never mind getting, permission. Can they be sued? - agreeablebirthday229 - 05-12-2013 12:32 PM Possibly for breach of copyright? - Dianne - 05-12-2013 12:48 PM If you don't want people to see stuff it's perhaps best not to put it on facebook!! - BB - 05-12-2013 12:52 PM In theory you could sue them for breach of copyright, but if you try this your lawyer fees will probably be a lot more than any compensation you might win. If it was your video, why not just send them a bill for the usage? They probably won't pay you but it has more chance of success than a lawsuit. |
