With Facebook, the page takes longer than say Yahoo to load and I cannot see friend requests/inbox messages/notifications until the page is loaded. I also have to refresh the page until older posts load on pages.

Clear the cookies in chrome. Normally facebook supports with new browsers.

Try updating Chrome to its latest version. I think, it'll help!

try IE/ Opera brower.
My mom had chrome and didn't have problems
