The messages go back 3+ years. Just looking for a program that could retrieved these special messages.

I assume that you do know that your Facebook is linked with one of your mailing Ids. Like Gmail, Yahoomail, or Hotmail.... Everytime you FB account receives a notification, a mail is sent to your mailing account including the text of the notification. So backup of all your messages should be available in your Mailing account. unless you deactivated the option manually (which is activated by dafault).... Why not check you mail...
