Can somebody please tell me all the techniques used by other users to gain followers on Twitter?
Example: 5rts? / 5rts from faves?
F4F? (Follow for Follow)
S4S? (Shoutout for Shoutout)

1. Make sure your profile is complete with an avatar that shows your face and a solid bio.
2. Tweet well & tweet often and people will follow you.
3. Follow people who follow people that are like you.
4. Ask people to retweet you.
5. Search for tweets with keywords related to your topics of interest.
6. Use hashtags.
7. Regularly unfollow people who haven't followed you back.
8. Repeat your most popular tweets.

Reweet does help so is the F4F method. Other than that get yourself a nice profile picture and and custom theme background. Tweet quite often so that people notice you frequently. It will help you to get more exposure. Also properly use the function like hashtags which can have nice effect on increasing followers number too.
