I don't think Facebook can get you fired, however, I believe that Facebook - being a social media site - is a good indicator of how mature you are, and the level of responsibly that you could expect from that person.
If you are the type of person that posts dramatic absurd material on the internet, then that sort of reflects the person that you can expect to see working for you.
