Arrested for impersonating someone on facebook? - Iratebeggar357 - 07-16-2013 06:42 AM No i have not impersonated anybody on facebook but i know someone who has and i'm wondering if you can get sued/arrested for pretending to be somebody else on facebook? If you don't do anything to make the person look bad or anything rude to anybody is what I mean. Because i know that 1/3 of facebook is a bunch of fake accounts including site models, celebrities, anybody famous etc. Can you get sued? Or arrested either way. - Goober - 07-16-2013 06:54 AM Yes the Facebook police can arrest you and behead you without a trial. In front of your mom if your under 18. Not really. A "famous person" which you impersonate can have your account deleted and possibly sue should you defame them. - Kittysue - 07-16-2013 07:08 AM People get sued all the time for fake profiles First of all, using another person's photos is copyright infringement and a breach of the DMCA Then you can add identity theft to the charges |
