How to ask my mom if I can have a Facebook? - Mia - 07-16-2013 11:18 PM

I want to get a Facebook because all of my friends have one, but my mom doesn't like Facebook. I know she won't let me. I don't even know how to ask her in the first place. I don't want to do it behind her back and of course I will respect her decision in the end, but how can I convince her to let me have one?

I'm over 13 years old too.

Promise it won't affect your study time and family time etc.
also say you won't put many pics

If you are over 13 years old it seems to me that you are either 13 or less than 18 years of age. Anywho! Simple and plain if you are mature enough to handle social media then you are mature enough to get your mother's permission and trust(showing your mother that you are responsible). Remember that when you are under your parents roof all rules still apply.

Trust me, facebook isn't that great. There is drama, hacking, and it gives you a reason to procrastinate. This is coming from a teen girl. Facebook is hardly even fun anymore.
