well, why were you unable to identify them?
did you break the rules by adding people you dont know in real life? that's why facebook does that to you
facebook has rules, and if you just ignore them, they can tell, and then they suspend your account unless you can prove to them otherwise

Ask your friends help. other wise go for other options like mobile phone code verification.
