Can you make yourself not appear on facebook "people you may know" ?
I don't want my ex to see me on that list and so on.
Also, is there a way you can hide your "friends" list?

No not really not that I know of. The friend part yea you can go to account setting and privacy and it should be an option were you choose if ppl can view you friends or not

Only way you appear on people you may know is if people are friends with you and your ex, I don't think there's any way you can stop her from seeing you on people you may know unless you block her or change your privacy settings.
Yeah there's a way you can hide your friends list, you'd have to go to your profile if you see friends click on that then click on the pencil and it will come up with friends list :who can see your friends list so click on only me and that way you will be the only person who will be able to see your friends list nobody else.
