What's wrong with facebook letting you know who read your message? - Ronald - 07-19-2013 12:25 AM

Why so much hate? I don't understand, don't people want to know who their true friends are and who are not their friends? Of course, you will be emotionally hurt, but you will know if your crush is into you or not.

Don't people ever get tired of the "I'm busy" or "I haven't logged in yet" lie? We get to expose their true nature.
Sucks if you are a girl, does it? That geeky guy will now know you ignore his messages.

In many nations, privacy is an important issues. While I don't have gf , bf, etc drama, I do have other important business that is of a serious nature. For those same privacy reasons, I don't go into details but say things like 'call me.' It is the same reason why people have to have passwords to login to most businesses online. No one needs to know what I buy, how much money is in my account, who emails me. Same reasons. Plus, people do exist in this world that are intent on harming others. I have strict FB standards, rarely say anything about my personal issues, and keep less than 100 friends. My account is private but someone still tried to hack me. Other folks have PUBLIC profiles.
