No I am afraid there is not. However there is a time period where they can reactive there account and in that time they will still receive updates.

Not through facebook. If you know their email address street address, or a phone number, that would be the only way.

When they reactivate, you can contact them.

There's only one way to do it, if you know their email address like yahoo or hotmail something like that. If so, go to your messages, hit new message, and type in their email address. Please keep in mind that it may not go to their inbox instead it will go to their email account and they can reply to it through email
