When you post a status, right next to the blue 'post' button it has a setting thingy, it probably says 'public' with a globe symbol, if not 'friends' if its public, your followers can see it, if its just friends, only your friends can. you dont have to change the setting to friends only everytime. once you make it just friends, it stays 'just friends' for everything you post unless you change it. this setting goes for statuses, photos and videos
