Is social media a viable tool with businesses that have a niche market..? - SuperDuperMuttonGoYeay!! - 10-12-2012 05:43 PM

I know most businesses benefit a lot from social media.. I'm trying to capitalize on that fact by creating a facebook page, YouTube channel and twitter account for my company.

The thing is we do industrial conveyors and obermeyer floodgate systems, mainly for the south east asia market.

Serving such a niche market within such a narrow consumer base in such a small section of the world, is social media even viable as a marketing tool..?

My take on that is that I think that you can create those pages for free. (I could be wrong about that.) But if it IS free, then all you are 'out' is your time spent creating those pages. If it brings in even a few more customers, I think that would be good.

Overall viability ? I agree with you - it's not going to change your company's revenue stream very much.

Social media is a very powerful tool for any business, no matter how narrow the niche is. It involves a bit of work, but it is worth it. Create a few videos, upload on YouTube, share them on Face Book and Twitter and you will get unexpected results. Use a professional YouTube promotion service that will help you promote your video channel fast.
