Facebook is a social networking website that allows you to keep in contact with your family and friends and share your life with the people closest to you.
Twitter is microblogging. Twitter, and 'tweeting', is about broadcasting daily short burst messages to the world, with the hope that your messages are useful and interesting to someone. Conversely, Twitter is about discovering interesting people online, and following their burst messages for as long as they are interesting.

Facebook you post and twitter you tweet...

Facebook lets you do anything but twitters have some restricted setting so if you don't want anyone to talk to you-you can set that up.

Mostly popular people uses twitter. facebook is 100% better than twitter.
