so you log onto your Facebook but remain offline to your friends? so your actually online but to your friends it looks like your offline?
is their a setting on facebok to do this?
if yes , where do i click , how?

Ya, just turn your chat off no one will know your on..

Beside 'search' under your chat there is a little gear icon, click that to 'turn off chat'
Then no one will know you are online.

yes open chat box
select gear
select turn chat off
then select advanced and maybe you want some people to know
dont chat it will come back on
if someone tries to message you
it goes into your inbox

sure, just disable your chat and dont click on like or comment or do anything or your friends will see that activity in their ticker and know you are hiding
