I'm just curious, because I initially think there's no point in having just a Facebook Messenger app when there's already a Facebook app with messaging included.

Well I personally only use Facebook for the messages. Wall posts, likes and shares are full of spam.
The messenger app is pretty convenient for messaging, unlike the Facebook app, the messenger app won't miss when people send messages, it is very reliable when it comes to notifications. It loads so much faster than the Facebook app and it's much smoother.
That's pretty much all I can say, I don't know why people use the messenger app... Maybe it's because the Facebook app is absolutely crap? Hahahahah
I mean... Just look at the ratings!!!

Facebook Messenger App is A App Thats Just For Messenging So Maybe They Just Want to Have one App For Messenging and The Rest Separate
