It's not getting hacked if he gives out his password which is clearly the case here. Facebook is so incredible hard to legitimately hack. People are actually payed obscene amounts of money if they find a way to hack Facebook and if they decide to report it to them. Your friend should just make a good password next time and not tell anyone. 123abc is not a good password and telling your 4 closest friends is not okay. It even violates the terms and conditions of use.

if it happens on just that computer, that computer has a virus, or a malicious browser extension installed
if it happens on all computers, then it's a malicious facebook app

make the security questions hard to guess, dont use things your friends know
and never use the same password for your email and facebook
