Yes yes I know it means the person is available/online but i mean like, is the green dot still there even if the person is inactive? By inactive I mean they're on another tab and what not and just leave their facebook tab open. If the person is logged in, but leaves the screen open while using another tab, will the green dot eventually disappear? Or will it keep showing until the person logs out and exits facebook?

Their online and active. When its not there they are idle.
