This creepy guy found out where I live? - Yusei - 07-26-2013 04:22 PM

This guy that likes a Facebook page me and my brother own some how found out the place where I live. I have NO IDEA how. We have never revealed our locations or anything else like this to him or anyone else on the page. Not even our names. We came up with admin tags. But some weird way he found where we live. He said "I am the kind of guy who can make people tell". I kept asking him how he knew this and I threw him off course by saying I moved away and that was just my old town where I was born. So now he thinks I live in a whole different province. What should I do? He has asked other things like what my real name is (which I certainly would never give out!). I don't know what to do! I showed my parents the conversation and they have no clue how he could either. Being a tech geek myself I believe that he may have uploaded a virus using a video game site we both play on or possibly found my IP address through a Facebook post on our page. I am kind of scared and have no idea what to do in this situation. Please help and tell me what I could do!

If you want to remain anonymous on line, you need to use a proxy server. With this, your IP address will be changed to that of the server so your location will not be known. Anyone looking up your IP address will see the address of the server and it will look like you are there.

Another plus is that if you use a reputable company, all of your information is encrypted, so no one can read it if they happen to break into your line of communication.
