is there an social media sites for introverts? - cj_11 - 10-12-2012 07:27 PM

i am an introvert and i like to talk or chat with other people who don't have social life. it really bothers me that i don't meet new friends easily.

Try dating websites. - you dont have to use it to date , but to find like minded friends.
Or try IRC

Actually facebook is a really good place for anyone, they have securities in place so only certain people can talk to you or if you want, no one at all. You can set it so no "random people" send you messages. I have 5 friends on there and I just block everyone else bc I dont want to be friends with Nyugen from tibet or w/e X) Plus you can always look up people you think you might know.

Another good site I use is Gaiaonline.com, you can have thousands of friends or none and there are actually clubs "guilds" dedicated to people who are introverted or just dont want to be "the life of the party". Its also open to the world so you can have friends or chat buddies with people from Spain or even China. The great thing about Gaia is there is also tons to do even if you dont have any friends or just dont feel like chatting. You can even have your own little fishies!

If you want to you can even email me, I usually check my email a few times a day. I have no job, I live with my fiance at home and we go into town once a week on thursdays to help his mum shop and wonder aimlessly around the town of about 600 hundred people total, so no social life, check. Smile

Any social media site will give you the option of who you interact with. If someone doesn't make the cut with you, just decline their friend invite. However talking to people online can help pull people out of their shell so it's worth accepting friend requests.

Good luck
