If I like something on facebook, does it appear in my friend's feeds? - Mysterious World - 07-27-2013 04:03 AM

Say I like a track my mate posted, does it appear in everyone's feed that I liked it, and what it is? Is there a way to stop this happening? I doubt anyone cares what music I'm listening to, and I don't wish to bother them with it unless I specifically choose to.
Thanks!

PS It was this track I liked

What I mean is, does the track I clicked 'like' on become shared with everyone I am friends with? And if I leave a comment on the track that Dave posted, and say "Great track!", do my friends Tommy and Gertrude also see in their feed that I said 'Great track!' and what the track was?

It will say underneath the post that you liked it, as for everything someone posts. It will alert the person that you liked their post by saying "(Name) likes your post". So yes people will see that you liked it but I highly doubt they will notice it.....

If Dave posts anything on his timeline, doesn't matter what it is, and you like or comment on it then Dave will get a notification about it. If you post anything, it will go on the news feed and Dave's friends will see anything he posts (if they happen to check their news feed to see it) so if you comment on the track or like the track, his friends will also see it. Is this helpful?
