If I share someone's status in a private message with others then do they get notified that I shared their status?

I assuming they do, never gave much thought about notification on Facebook.

I'm pretty sure they don't. Because for one thing. It's a private message. I don't think Facebook will be showing others the message. Then again, your talking about Facebook... I say you got a 50 50 chance. I would do it. But that's just me.

If it is in a private message, then they will not see it. The will only know if you make it public by posting it on your friends wall.

No, they will not see it if it is in a private message. They will not get notified. They will only know if you share it on your friends wall.
