The icon that appears next to someones name when you're on chat...does it it indicate that they are online on a mobile device or does it simply mean they have the facebook app for their phone??
Also, what does it mean when it has the time next to the icon (like 2h, 3h, etc). Is this the last time they were on chat or simply the last time they logged in?

yes last time they logged on
but phone means they have iPhone mobile

It means that they are not online, but if you send them a message they will get a notification on their phone.
