do they get an email saying John Doe sent you a friend request or just you have a friend request? I sent this person a friend request by accident and now im panicking haha. thank you so much!

hahha I know how you feel!!
They will receive notification on facebook "frend request" with 1 on it, all they have to do is click on it and they will see it. It also depends if they have their email added to receive notifications from facebook.

It depends on how they have there settings set. It differs for every accout depending on if they have all there notifications sent to there email or just a few

Yes. They will get an email that says, For example, "Bob sent you a friend request!" This, however won't show up if they don't have the setting checked in their account settings or you cancel the request right away.

You can cheek himself by Email or user name.
