OK,
So, I see a friend on line in the chat window. If I click on the friend but do not start typing, can they see that I have clicked on their chat window even if I have not yet sent a message? Is that possible? Also, if I saved a picture from a friends facebook profile to my desktop, can they see that I did that?

No to all ur answers...
For the firs tone only after u typed and pressed enter to send it, will they not know ur writing them..
And if u savetheir picture they will not know aswell
