I really have no idea how he got my phone number as only I can see my number. Does this mean my account was hacked ???? please help..!!

If you linked your phone to your account in Facebook. It is possible to send message because once you logged out in your PC or Facebook App for Smart Phones your chat status would be "I'm on Mobile" message sent to you while offline will be directly go to your mobile number. Check your mobile setting and about page if it is connected or in public.
