I have a community organization page on Facebook and do not have a "become a fan" button. How do I get it? I have not used a Facebook profile in years so have no idea how to use this newer version of Facebook. Also, I do not have a personal profile connected to this page so do not have a feed page. Do I have to start a new page, in a different category, to get the "become a fan" button? This is a Facebook page for a local club. There is a "like" button only.

The "become a fan" button is replaced by the "like" button now. So to show your a fan you have to 'like' it. It happened around mid 2010.
